Why do I loose points if my account is suspended?

The rewards points program is set up to save our staff the extra time it takes to deal with late payments, if a client does not require any staff interaction, the program rewards the client.
Also, while account suspension/unsuspension is fully automated, the account is still sitting on the server using up diskspace with the chance the client will never return.
We feel the rewards points system is set up to not directly penalize the client (since the package price does not change), and at the same time encourage the client to take advantage of the "self serve" support options such as our videos & forum.
